Company History
Byrne Medical has become a recognized leader at the forefront of patient care in GI Endoscopy by evaluating the current safety standards and offering unique solutions for everyday practices. These principles encompass the foundation of our company because infection control matters to everyone.
Don Byrne, Founder and President, started the company in 1997 in Conroe, Texas with a single, disposable product and a vision to improve infection control practices. His genuine concern for patients, staff members and facilities everywhere prompted him to pioneer a proprietary solution - the Endo SmartCap®.
In 2003, Byrne Medical introduced the EndoGator®, a disposable irrigation alternative to reusable irrigation tubing. 2009 saw the introduction of the sterile DEFENDO™ Disposable Biopsy Valve for Olympus®, Fujinon® and Pentax® endoscopes. As of 2010, Byrne Medical continues to grow in its line of infection control products with EndoJoe™, a line of disinfectants for the GI Endoscopy lab as well as chemicals for the reprocessing of endoscopes and accessories.
As the industry continues to grow, so do the recommendations and standards. Byrne Medical's commitment is not only to the customer, but more importantly to the patient.
