Open the sterile peel pack and remove the Endo SmartCap. Open a bottle of sterile water (500 cc or one liter). The Endo SmartCap will fit Abbott, Baxter and MacGaw water bottles.
Drop the metal weighted tube into the sterile water bottle and firmly tighten the Endo SmartCap to ensure a tight seal.
Plug the distal tip of the Endo SmartCap into the scope by twisting while pushing firmly. Reconnect the air inlet tube into the processor with a firm twist until the connector clicks into place. Check the air/water flow. If the water pressure is low, check to ensure the Endo SmartCap has a tight seal.
When the procedure is finished, turn off the air pressure on the scope processor then clamp off the tubing with the pinch clip before disconnecting the Endo SmartCap.
