Open the sterile peel pack and remove the Endo SmartCap. Open a bottle of sterile water (500 cc or one liter). The Endo SmartCap will fit Abbott, Baxter and MacGaw water bottles.
Drop the metal weighted tube into the sterile water bottle and firmly tighten the Endo SmartCap to ensure a tight seal.
Connect the clear fitting of the Endo SmartCap to the scope by aligning the connector grooves with the pins on the scope. Press the connector gently to the scope while rotating clockwise.
When the procedure is finished, clamp off the tubing with the pinch clip and then turn off the air pressure on the scope processor before disconnecting the Endo SmartCap.
